Amy Goodson-Beal Resigns from BOE

Amy Goodson-Beal announced her resignation from the Tallmadge City Schools Board of Education effective 12-12-09, due to a change in her residency. Under the statute and Board policy, whenever a member shall cease to be a bonafide resident of the District, his/her membership shall cease immediately. When a vacancy occurs, the Board shall fill its vacancy at its next regular or special meeting, but not earlier than ten (10) days after the vacancy occurs.

Amy was appointed to the Board in August 2006 to fill an unexpired term. She was subsequently elected to the Board in November of 2007. In his comments at the December Boared meeting (12-16-09), Superintendent Jeff Ferguson stated “Amy will be missed for her valuable input and the contributions she has made to the District.”
